For the first time after I moved here, I am required to upgrade my Wordpress version to the new 2.2.3. This is a security and bug-fix release and I am recommended to upgrade immediately. For those who haven’t upgrade their version of Wordpress, you can find the announcement in your Wordpress Dashboard.
I swear that I don’t know anything about how to upgrade until after I completed it. It was a complicating process for me as I will need to do back-ups, uploading my files and at last, pray that my blog will not go bust! I’ve succeeded but I don’t have to go through all that fuss. Why? I have got myself a wonderful plug-in which I first came across at John Chow’s “Upgrade Your Wordpress Automatically With This Plugin”.
Wordpress Automatic Upgrade Plugin is free for download and use. I felt upgrading so easy even after I went to several blogs that warns about seeing your blogs corrupted after upgrading. It helps you to do all the steps needed in upgrading and all you have to do is to sit there and click… It is still in beta but at least it works for me! Try it out and tell me how you feel about it!
Now, Wayne Liew Dot Com is powered by Wordpress 2.2.3. Any new Wordpress users out there that requires my help can ask for it here of course. I am waiting for the 2.3 upgrade now which will be out of 24th of September 2007!

I do my minor updates myself but for version updates, I can’t. I am sure I will screw things up, LOL. So yeah, whenever there is a minor update, I’ll do it quick enough, to avoid having to do a major one (so sad lar)..

I think my answer is that it will be better for you to upgrade. Why? This is because it is a security update as claimed my Wordpress (I don’t want to get hacked by Nigeria or Arab hackers, that’s why). If you don’t like the work, try installing the plugin, it will save you a lot of time!

I think you can try to start upgrading now because Wordpress is always moving forward. You must move forward as well so that you will have features that others have.

Just give it a try, it won’t bite, just make sure that you backed up all your files.

Dude but i heard from my fren that free wordpress cant signup with nuffnang or adverlets. otherwise it will block by wordpress.
