Whacked for Paid Post Spamming
It’s not from Google concerning my Google Page Rank and neither it is from PeePeePee.
Updates: The comment on my blogspot blog appears to be a prankster job. Read more about it at Hails Josh Lim Clone for Giving Me Lessons.
I received an e-mail notification today which I don’t normally receive but it was from someone great in Malaysia’s blogosphere. Josh Lim, the founder of local advertising platform, Advertlets has posted a comment on my old blogspot blog which are as stated below:

Damn sad that blogs like yours exist.
Poluting the blogosphere with spam.
Also damn sad to see how you practive being nice nice on WayneLiew.com but spam the internet with blogs like these.
I have to admit that I am still writing paid posts as I have admitted with Paid Posts - My Main Income Source. I continue to write it on my already Google Page Rank-zerofied blogspot blog since I am still getting opportunities but certainly not from PeePeePee.
The reason I am writing this post is to ask opinions about the statement by Josh above. I know spam blogs will always invite hatred and anger from bloggers and Internet users. Anyway, I am not as great as some of those people out there who steal contents of others to make money from Google Adsense.
I am always on the middle line when I write paid posts with that blogspot blog. I knew one day this will be brought up as an issue, by me myself or by someone like Josh here.
My blog has been featured on Zerofied Google PR! during the Page Rank demotion where my blogspot PR dropped from a 5 to 4 then now, 0. I see paid post writing as another way to earn side income and I always write it when I am free.
Also, I have made an announcement at my old blog before that I will be focusing my writings on Wayne Liew Dot Com since this site is launched. The paid-to-blog platform that I used for that blogspot blog are not platforms like PeePeePee or Sponsored Reviews that have terms stating that a blog should not contain just paid posts.
I am sure that most of you saw all kinds of spam blogs (splogs) before using Blogger as a platform. Before the penalization of paid post blogs by Google, there were even more! Now, you can see tonnes of blogspot blogs writing just for the sake of getting traffic which will convert into money for them.
I am not cheating by saying a site is great or a product is great. I am just adding links to some random posts which I wrote. Can I say that it is just a personal blog for me to crap and nothing is contributing there?
I can stop paid post writing on the blog any time from now if majority of you demand me to do so. My readers win my decision. Vote to help me make my decision on extreme paid post writing on that blogspot blog.

Will you agree that I am innocent making money by “spamming” a blogspot blog that way?
Wayne Liew is focusing on this site that you are reading now. The blogspot blog is not something that deserves your attention. I removed Advertlets ad panel from that blogspot blog as well since Josh doesn’t like such blogs.
If anyone of you who are reading this and felt that I have did something wrong here, give me a lecture here since you might be right.

Business is business and Josh should know it better, what to be sad? You can’t put feeling or emotion in it - that’s business..
There’s nothing wrong writing paid posts - why don’t you ask Chanlilian’s opinion on this? She’s the mother of paid posters
I don’t agree with Josh’s comment, at least write something more professional..
Can you clarify with Josh if that is really him who wrote that? Though I am not a fan of Josh Lim, I doubt he said that cos his English is way better than that and I like to believe he is smarter than that.
And if indeed he said that…..then, let’s whack him. LOL. Cos no one has any rights to tell us what we do with our blog. I believe it is just some trolls out to play pranks. I have someone disguised as me and posted something in another blogger’s blog. Not amusing at all.
This is a small matter. Josh has his rights to express his thoughts and I don’t think he’s wrong on what he said, perhaps it could be expressed in a less-harsh tone.
I believe what he’s saying is that PAID POST type of blogs are generally spam. I personally think so too, I’ve registered in PPP and LL and from what I see, damn those stuff aren’t something I wish to post on my blog.
It’s all for the sake of money, there’s a lost in the true essence of blogging, which is about YOU and YOUR content. Not someone else offering a CONTENT and you write about it. There this thing about Paid Posts that I find makes a sight look less appealing. I love to read sites whose content are actually from the owner, not some topic given by another site - write about XYZ and their vacation plans and get $5.
For his rather harsh 3rd paragraph. I believe he’s saying you’re being a hypocrite. How you’re practising the great parts of blogging here while doing the opposite on another of your site.
There’s nothing wrong with paid posts though. Sure, Chan Lilian of 5xmom makes big bucks but true paid posts but that doesn’t make PAID POST the “true way of blogging”.
Anyway Wayne, it’s a small matter.
Even as you mentioned I am always on the middle line when I write paid posts with that blogspot blog. I knew one day this will be brought up as an issue, by me myself or by someone like Josh here.
You are some how aware of something already.
Your conscience has probably needled you before.
Nevertheless, in the end you decide the direction you’re heading.
I haven’t been having any CPM for the past few weeks already. The CPM always is 0 even though there are visitors from Malaysia. It’s like putting advertisement for free. So unfair. Disappointed with the Ads network already. Judging from the way Josh comments, I am seriously in doubt of the credibility.
And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with writing for PPP. I didn’t write those, but I think it’s ok if it’s not spamming. I think there’s no difference between putting ads on your “personal blog” and writing PPP posts. The motivation of these are to make money. Am I not right? Unless you’ve got to tell me that an ad panel is definitely better than a paid blog post.
Wayne, Michael, Goldfries:
Just got back from a late dinner…checked the feeds, and this pops up. This is a surprise. First things first. Wayne, that wasn’t me who left that comment.
I only comment on blogspot using joshoohaah@gmail.com - and I don’t have an image avatar for blogspot. And I can spell better. Third, I’m not even awake that early in the morning…
What does this conclude? Its someone else using my name and image! You may have noticed also, that http://fakejoshlim.blogspot.com is using the same avatar. (Read this for some background : http://www.advertlets.com/webl.....mybloglog/)
True enough, I’m harsh on click frauders - but only when we have definite proof, and they are indignant that they haven’t done anything wrong. But why on earth would I slam you for doing sponsored posts? Advertlets offers sponsored post opps for goodness sake!
Anyway Wayne, I have a healthy amount of respect for you (whether or not you use Advertlets, I have been reading your posts, including the confession sometime back and more), and wish to let you know that I wish you all the best with your journey making money blogging.
Do clarify with me in future should you have any doubts if a message is really from me. Cheers.
I am mixed about paid-post. I also think it a kind of spam. However, I also think it is the right of the blog author to do what he/she/it wants with their blog. If there is too much paid-post, then I will rarely visit it. that’s all.
And yeah, in the end, it’s your decision on how your blog is going run.
A man plays different role in his daily life. For a few hours he is an employee for others he is a husband or a father and so on. He may not be successful in all his roles. How would you feel if someone comes and says “you are a bad workman and worse is that you try to be good with your wife and children”. Is he true in comparing both aspects…
So I feel the last para by Josh is not related to your blogspot blog and thus unnecessary and you should simply ignore it and feel relaxed.
@ Michael Woo
Sorry Micheal. The whole thing is a work by a prankster. Pointing my hate on this guy who pretends to be Josh since he does not have the ability that Josh has.
@ lilian
Josh has made his clarification and everything is clear that it is a job from a prankster. I guess famous people knows what it seems to be a prank or imposting job.
No one impose me before…
@ goldfries
I am not doing the opposite. I have never condemn paid post writing and I do have recommended people to build up a blog just to write paid posts before.
I am starting to slow down on paid posting since I made my first direct ad sales if you have noticed about it. I am also making money from the Internet using other methods.
@ someone
If we look at the amount of money made, paid posts are certainly performing better than ad panels for small blogs (with lesser readers) but people seems to be always having problem with it.
For your problem with Advertlets, I would suggest you to write or contact Josh personally (he’s a nice person) and hopefully he can help you out.
@ Josh Lim
Sorry Josh. A rectification post has been posted. I regretted that I didn’t perform thorough investigation about the whole matter. Must be the examination pressure creeping in…
@ kljs
I know and that blogspot blog is receiving mere search engine traffic which is really low. I am not planning to revive that blog in any way.
Rest assured, this blog will not be infested with paid posts.
@ Jalaj
Thanks for the advice and sorry because everything turns out to be my mistake.
Wayne, it you read my post - I didn’t say you were being hypocrite either. I just said it look like the 3rd paragraph of his post was saying that.
get it?
I get it now after a second read.
Too bad I am confused with this impostor’s act and the mounting pressure of my coming final year exam.
Forgive me for reading your comment wrongly.
No problem man.
Clarification is always good.

I am a bit late seeing this, here is what I think:
1- That fake Josh should learn how to spell words properly, one typo is OK but 3?
2- If you want to write sponsored posts and make money from them, as long as you are not lying in your posts (I know some advertisers can request positive, neutral or negative reviews), you are not forcing anyone to read them; I visit your blog from time to time and I don’t read all your posts (sorry, there is just not enough time).
3- I am craving for offers to write sponsored posts, so how could I criticize you for doing so?
The sponsored posts that I have mentioned in this post are those contained within my old Blogger blog. I have stopped writing on that blog since this incident.
