New Facebook Page Features at Your Expense

In the world of social media, Facebook actually made several feature changes to one of its main functionalities, Facebook Page. There are a lot of buzz in the blogosphere about the changes. Facebook is obviously trying to get more businesses and corporate brands onto their site for branding and marketing.

From a business owner perspective, there are feature changes that you should be paying attention to. Ellie Mirman listed Top 4 New Facebook Page Features Businesses Will Love on the Hubspot blog which is a must read if you are planning to market your business to the millions of users that are on Facebook.

If you ask me, I would say that Facebook is great for businesses to brand themselves, build a loyal community and then leverage the community to build buzz. To reap the ultimate benefits, you MUST maintain the community, keep them satisfied, don’t spam and weed out spamming Facebook users.

Understand Why Customers are Causing You Trouble

To survive the recession, you must provide good customer experience and good customer service. I am sure that you have heard this for a million times. Why on Earth customers are still complaining despite measures carried out that YOU think will satisfy them?

Customer

Valeria Maltoni wrote a very interesting blog post that lists Top 10 Reasons Why Your Customers Are Being Difficult. It got me thinking. Customers are human beings as well and they are hard to for us to satisfy.

Great customer service stories often happen when the business took the extra mile to serve their customers. As a business owner, we should aim to provide the best experience as possible. Such a commitment is what that will make customers come back to you for the experience.

Cost Cutting for Small Business, with Power

Small business owners often associate cost cutting with decreased production volume, slashing marketing expenses and making their employees redundant. However, there are more ways to cut cost than you can ever imagine!

Mike Michalowicz, over at The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur, compiled a huge list of 32 Powerful Ways to Cut Cost in Business which is useful in getting your small business through the slump. With the list, I hope you are able to increase the bottom-line of your business without having to give cost cutting a negative perception.
