Same thoughts here. I think 90% of the blog readers just want the content and they won’t take action. You can try all sorts of things to get them to participate but if they are not moved, you can’t do anything.

Glad to hear that your blog is increasing traffic steadily.

I have a similar problem with comments.

I’d like more that add value or engage in the discussion and a lot less of the spam nonsense. I just don’t get what people are trying to achieve, especially when they see that comments are moderated.

As I become more experienced as a blogger, I am taking an ever harder line.

I guess some people just want to be involved passively by reading and only a minority care enough about a topic to leave a comment.
