The big money comes when you decide to sell your niche sites. I recently made a $550 out of two niche site sales, which were my first. My cost to the $550? $40 spent on two years of .com domains and my time spent on article writing. That’s all!

Article marketing is the primary method that I use to build traffic for my niche sites. Traffic building for niche sites via article marketing is very effective for both new and established sites.
I submit all my articles to Ezinearticles. Although many said that I should not put all my eggs in one basket, I have never face a problem with them. Those who complained that they are "scammed" by the article directory are normally those who failed to game the system, such as submitting duplicate content or using affiliate links in articles.
Ezinearticles is magical and have the ability to build up the base traffic for a new niche site. After your articles have been approved, you will get AT LEAST 20 unique visits (only in worst case scenario) from them. The traffic is normally targeted and hungry for more information regarding your niche.

Guess what? The reason why I sold off some of my niche sites recently is because I knew there was a Google Page Rank update.
People crave for Google Page Rank. Both the niche sites that I put on sale got a PR2 immediately after the update and previously, they were just PR N/A sites.
I will have to thank article marketing again for that. If you do a inbound link spy on the sites, you will find that apart from the links from my forum signature, all other links are coming from sources which I can submit my articles to such as Squidoo, Hubpages and of course, Ezinearticles. Anyway, most of you will not know what are the domains for the sites.

I think the result of article marketing also depends on how crowded the niche is. My articles related to MMO and blogging don’t contribute significant traffic to my blog. On the other hand, social networks do better in sending traffic to HomeBiz Resource

Will you plz explain what can be done to make a site get targeted visitors? Is it very easy to get high page rank of your site in search engine’s result pages?
@Web Services India: you can try different social networks like mybloglog, blogcatalog, or make a profile in facebook. you can also try stumble upon tofind people in a niche.
If your site has something people are looking for AND people know that your site is there, than it’s quite easy to get high PR

I haven’t thought much about traffic generation, since my site is largely about my personal experiences (I’m not sure how interested people are in reading them). But of course, it would always be great to have more readers!
I usually start up by writing articles, then I tend to go to adwords first then I do article marketing. Which of the two do you find more success in?
I find article marketing offers me long term traffic since the articles are permanent. I test the market the other way round though (article marketing first) as I wouldn’t want to spend money on a market that don’t buy stuffs.
