Many Malaysian bloggers have this problem of cashing out from their PayPal earnings (not a problem any more!). There is a solution but the fees are quite high and fees are needed for everything, depositing money into the bank account, checking your balance through an ATM machine, monthly fees and even charge fees when you withdraw. The worst will be all the fees are in US Dollar! With this, I am still waiting for a higher balance in my PayPal account before I apply for this “expensive” facility and at that time, I’ll be blogging about it.
Do you ever wonder about what you can do with your PayPal earnings apart from shopping on eBay and wait for your funds amount to grow? I am sure everyone of you heard of investment before, right? Investment is to get more benefits than the benefit you put in. I will tell you how you can invest your PayPal funds into your blogging hobby.

When I say reinvesting your blogging earnings, I supposed you should be thinking of advertising on Google Adwords, Adbrite or Bidvertiser but now we are not cashing out from our PayPal account and advertising through these platforms will require us to pay by credit card which is cash in hand for us! I now share with you ways that I think will help you blog better and learn more things that can help you survive in this blog eat blog world:
- Purchase a book on blogging. There are a lot of e-books out there that teaches people various skills on blogging which includes how to produce better contents, traffic and link building, search engine optimisation and site monetization. You can get yourself a free blogging e-book from John Chow who makes USD17,000 last month through blogging by just subscribing to his RSS feed to see how actually a blogging bible will looks like. Ryan Shamus also released his Easy Income Generator Report recently for only USD5.
Trust me, if you want to learn more and earn more, this is it. Wayne Liew is always a good boy. If you don’t want to subscribe to John Chow’s RSS feed, Wayne Liew can send the e-book directly to your e-mail if you requested for it by commenting in this post but not the paid ones as I don’t get the redistribution rights.
- Hire yourself a writer. You might not be a good writer and you always encounter things that you call “blogger’s block”. You can avoid this piece of block by hiring a blogger to post original articles for you. You pay for their thinking and writing but I can tell you, not many bloggers will take that offer unless you offer a high price. Also, these bloggers must be allowed to do linkbacks to their posts as well.
Wayne Liew offers fresh and juicy posts at the rate of 3 posts for 3 days – USD30. Who wants this offer? You can pick topics for me to write but if it is something I don’t know what to write about, I will turn down the USD30.
- Set up contests. This is a popular way for bloggers to get linkbacks, reviews and visitors. They set up a competition, having all sorts of requirements for you to enter and be eligible for their PayPal funds prize. You can set up something like this also but there are several things you need to make sure of.
You must be fair in conducting such contests as random pickings for winners is the way you are choosing your winners and your prize must be attractive. Also, the last thing you want to get your contest listed and mugged as the “Biggest Link Contest Scam In Blogosphere!”
- Redesign your theme/template. A theme which is totally unique makes you stand out from the others and give your blog a style that cannot be found elsewhere. A customised theme or a theme that is made out of nothing will costs you about USD40-USD100 per theme. These designers will listen to your requests and produce you with a theme according to your taste and the WOW effects are supposed to be there if you paid them USD50 and above.
You might be thinking this is expensive but it is all worth it if all the things you want is there, you stand out from the rest and the theme is search engine optimized as well as ensuring you a high click-through rate on advertisements.
- Hire an expert. When I say experts, I mean those who can give you knowledge or help you on your blog and direct or indirectly improve your blog. They can either advise you, share their experiences, give you consultation or even personally modify or do search engine optimisation on your blog. They might charge but Wayne Liew don’t.
Feel like seeking my “consultation”, just contact me or leave me a comment. People who had asked me questions will know that I will reply for free.
- Acquire useful gadgets or tools. Softwares and services such as traffic generator, link schemes, and site analyser are all over the Internet nowadays. An advice for you is that only go for stuffs with money-back guarantee or they offers trial periods for the softwares. Traffic generator and link schemes are good in a certain way but many bloggers don’t like paying for these as they want quality traffic and links
- Seek direct sales advertising. This is the advertising method often provided by big time bloggers. They normally have a “Advertise” page and the prices are listed there for you.
They often offer advertising in the form of paid reviews, site wide link placement and post-level links. The good thing about this method of advertising is that these bloggers often accept PayPal as their payment methods. Wayne Liew offers advertising on Wayne Liew Dot Com as well but since I am not shameless enough to set up an “Advertise” page, you will need to contact me for the prices.
These are all the stuffs that I can think of which you can use your PayPal funds to generate more benefits onto your blogs. Of course, there might be many that have been left out but these are the few that I think can have the most impact and have the results delivered to you in no time. Share with me what you think of and what other ways of investment can you make, no bonds and equities investment please… Are you going to do these? Sleeves up, start earning PayPal funds again!
