I don’t know anyone of you faced this. Most of you, guys and girls are here because you blog. No matter how many time you have dedicated to blogging, I am sure there are still some time for your other daily routines and you have other things to pursue for. How high “blogging” is in your daily life activities ranking? You rank it as your top priority or you don’t care about it at all or is it between something and something?

When you look at my blog, how high will you think I rank blogging in my life? I am not sure what you all think but I rank two things high up in my priority, my studies and blogging. Do you think this is possible? Trying to write a “quality” post (if you think it is) everyday and surfing the blogs of all my wonderful visitors, blogging is more than just a hobby for me, it’s like part of me! I don’t call it a job and I don’t like people calling me part-time blogger either because I don’t buy food and pay my hostel rent with the money I earned, my dad is the one paying for my food and shelter.
I admit it is hard to give both studies and blogging the “TOP PRIORITY” tag at the same time and it will be even harder for extra things to join this two blokes in the “TOP PRIORITY” category! My studies was once in risk because of blogging and guess what, the past four days I am having exams and it was the Wordpress 2.3 Upgrade and I am teaching under 18 readers how to verify a PayPal account.
What blogging will cost me this time?
I feel a little stress free this time. I have been pushing myself really hard and the balance should have been found this time round, blogging and study at the same time! I am still unsure of what will the outcome be but I am sure that it will be a whole lot better than the last time! I don’t feel like I am going to give up blogging for anything else, at all!
You can allow blogging to step into your life every time you want it too but you must make sure that you can manage it well. I can tell you that there are many things you have to lay down such as the old way of timetabling your everyday activities and control yourself to follow it.
I spent 4 hours a day blogging (my dad is going to kill me) and it is an everyday routine. How much hours do you spend on blogging and what are the other things you cared of in life? Tell me please…
One more thing, have you been scolded by someone or risked losing something because of blogging? ![]()

Blogging is a top priority only if I am at home. If I am out for the day, then I try to blog when I am back. So, blogging isn’t really at my top priority, but enjoying my life is.

If I am out, I will also think of what time I must come back and blog. I think I am having a very serious disease here…

To be honest, I had very little time to blog. I normally blog after back from work. After bathing and eating is already 9pm. Normally I will blog from 9-12am. And that is my only spare time of the day. Good content need more time to prepare right? Damn, because of blogging, I can’t help doing house works, and I don’t like this.
Suddenly blogging become a stress to me…how to keep traffic, how to write good content, how to earn money with it… Too much stuff to bother.. I’m very much confused right now..

lukxiufung, yes, I am in the same situation like u, except I don’t have a girlfriend
I think I am going to restructure my blog, now it looks untidy.

@ lukxiufung
Hmm, I guess your girlfriend is indeed correct and sitting in front of the computer too long will harm someone’s health. Moreover, you are having a job which involves a lot of computer work…
Nevertheless, I always admire people with computer knowledge. No wonder your site if full of colours!
@ jayhan
Yes, and for some time, you get two ideas of what to post and you have to spend more time to type it into your Wordpress draft.
Well, the most easy approach is to continuously write good contents and bookmarked certain blogs which you visit frequently so that you won’t spend too much time on bloghopping.
Earning money by ads is like just putting there and just monitor (I don’t monitor those ad panels earnings though), if you are writing paid posts like me, you will need more time…

I spend a lot of hours reading, but to type? No way… ha ha, usually.. 5 mins max

I dunno how many hours that I spent in blogging, but I think almost the same with you guys. Frankly, I think blogging can earn $, so I blog. But latter I love to blog because I enjoy people come to my site and leave comments about my posts.
That’s why I rarely wrote you-know-what posts in my own domain~ As I hope readers will not go away from me.
It’s true that blogging occupied lotsa my time… Sometime I even need to watch my lovely TVB while blogging… grr..rr…ggr….

@ clement
Maybe you type fast and your mind is clear of what you want to type.
@ conancat
, much more busier!
That means you have 3 top priorities.
@ lukxiufung
It’s not talent, I learnt them as well.
@ Sean
Happy blogging to you. I don’t like doing “side activities” while blogging and you won’t see me online on MSN often!
@ keeyit
You can make big bucks from blogging! Just kidding, it’s naive to think that way. I heard that someone blog at work as well though…

Since I’m a housewife with no kids to jaga, I can blog all day. But when hubby is at home and needs my attention, then I have to put blogging aside. Of course, if I need to write a paid post, then he has to wait for me lah, hehe.
September 28th, 2007 at 5:18 pm
Paid posts > hubby!
I guess blogging for money is so much fun than working for money.
September 28th, 2007 at 10:51 pm
I know it would be distracted when I am blogging and drama-ing simultaneously… but I have no enough time…
September 29th, 2007 at 12:58 pm
I watch TVB dramas as well but not into the “must-watch” stage yet. If not, t will interrupt my priorities.
