The news that PayPal is now allowing their users to withdraw funds to credit cards or debit cards formed a wave and swept past Malaysian blogosphere yesterday. I have posted about my encountering with this in my article “Malaysians’ PayPal Dream Comes True”.
The truth is that there are many Malaysians who tried it out and got through the “Add Your Card Details” gateway with most of the credit cards and debit cards but sadly, some don’t.
Updated: Sabahan pointed out in “Malaysian Can Now Withdraw Money from their PayPal Account” that apparently all Mastercard still can’t be used and PayPal is still working on the issue. This means only cards with the Visa logo can be used in withdrawing PayPal funds with cards from United Overseas Bank (UOB) not included.

Alex from A New Chapter In Life, which I mentioned earlier, gave another smack on me for MOL Freedom as he commented that:
The balance will show up basically 3-4 working days (well that’s what happened to me
) I tried using MOL and it works like a charm…
What is this? Double smack!
What will I do as remedial action after the jump.
For being impatient and naive, I immediately feel like wanting to cancel my AmBank NexG card (I mean it and I actually call up AmBank to ask about the procedures of cancellation) and I have a plan of writing an e-mail to AmBank to enquire about why this sad thing happen to me and how they might lose their cardholders to MOL Freedom. I hope the mail will reach their decision makers and something can be done.
AmBank oh AmBank, I am so loyal to you even after the launch of MOL Freedom Card which is cheaper than your AmBank NexG, why you treat me like this? I thought I can boast about my income and show cold hard cash to my readers and friends but you made my dreams shattered!
If I am not withdrawing now, I will be building my amount of PayPal funds with paid posts and advertisements or wait till next year to get double-smacker MOL Freedom Card or get myself a workable debit card!
Get an EON Bank MOL Freedom Prepaid Credit Card or stick with AmBank NexG before applying for another debit card next year? Guide me!
P/S: Decision made! I will go for Public Bank Electron Debit Card next year and will only start withdrawing next year as well. No more bans by PayPal by that I hope! ![]()

Just remind you guys that this kinda service is only limited for 5 times withdrawal only. So, I am not going to try until I have big amount to withdraw. I am using Sitibank (I mean Citibank, haha!), I hope it works well. I heard that HSBC works on that, but still in pending process~
My suggestion in your case, why don’t wait till you have grown up then withdraw it in one shot for buying a not-national-car, haha~! I have cancelled my AmBank Mastercard few months ago because of their poor service. I have less confident on local bla bla bank’s card, preferrable in international bank’s card only. So, I hope you would keep your patient and wait for few years later? muahhaha~~

I think all Malaysian should go to work now and make more mooney after this, but don’t let Paypal killed the service once again because of some stupid action from our users.

Just leave your funds in Paypal…
Let it accumulate while you wait for more and more services coming out for the users LIKE YOU..
It’s now like you really need the money now right?

@ pikey
If it got through the gateway, the withdrawal should be fine. My problem is that my card don’t even get me to the “How much I would like to withdraw?” page.
@ Ayie
Buy it, use it and tell me about it’s miracle!
@ flsam
I just posted an update. Mastercard should not be working yet as claimed by PayPal but I don’t understand why MOL Freedom works! Did they bribe?
@ Sean
I have made my decision for waiting, I hope that this policy won’t change. Also, it is limited to USD500 EVERYDAY! No limit though. The 5 transaction that you saw is the limit on transactions paid to you credit cards.
@ dott-com
Yes, there might be some stupid devils out there planning to spoil our dreams. Too bad I have planned to wait.
@ Rice Blogger
How did you get one? e-Trade or VMI? If it is not both of this, tell me what are you using please…
@ Broken
I will do that but I still fear the worst could happen. You know why Malaysia is always on the banned list? They can take back this dream of ours any time…

Thanks for doing that. I guess most of the users will know when they enter their card details into the supposed section.
Anyway, just tell me when you are done with that. I hope my readers can read about it on your blog.
