Blogger (my old host) had become a platform for hackers to spread virus is what took my attention this morning reading BBC news. Google’s Blogger is actually being used by malicious hackers to create fake entries on some blogs, including a link that will link you to booby-trap downloads that will infect your computer.
The Blogger attack is the latest in a series by a gang that has managed to hijack hundreds of thousands of PCs.
After you are being infected, the same old torturing sequence of events will be gone through by both your computer and your mind! Why? An infected computer will then start to be attacked or being mined for valuable data. If you always bloghop in your office, this is a news that you must watch out since your company’s information might get stolen! I am sure that you don’t want to get sacked just because you have a citizenship in the blogosphere!
The links that these unscrupulous hackers post on your blog might be a simple YouTube link, a greetings card link or maybe just something to share, included will be a message urging you to click on it and then, your computer will get infected and if you have a Blogger account, the account will be infected as well if you log in and a similar post will popped up!
The article only mentioned that the virus is a Trojan type of virus and anti-virus you are using right now shall be capable of handling it if you update it frequently. Also, the frequent change of the virus form had made anti-virus being fooled and will cause infection to your computer.
Many have been infected (this group of intelligent but heartless computer genius infected 1 million PCs!) but so far I haven’t knew any Malaysian bloggers or my blogging pals got infected and I hope not. I’m creating this post just to inform you guys not to get controlled by these mad guys easily.
A Google spokesperson said this:
“We are in the process of notifying impacted users and recommending that they scan their computers and run current anti-virus tools–good advice for all internet users,” they added.
Thus, rest assured, you will receive a notification of this thing if your Blogger blog is really that unlucky. If you see a unknown post on your blog, keep bloghoppers like Wayne Liew save by deleting it. Have you guys seen anyone including your friend using Blogger and posted a post with just a link and which this is not his or her style?
Wayne Liew rewards you by clicking your stuffs in your blog, don’t make him stop doing this… **Giggling** because I’ve just left Blogger but still there’s lots of good Blogger blogs out there which I visit everyday! Just open your eyes wide or you might as well try to spread this out to your pals!

Hey, I am back. I think why many Malaysia bloggers didn’t get the infection because the hackers are aiming for US computers. Not that they can get a benefit out of Malaysian PCs, it’s just that it would be difficult to manipulate the PCs due to several reasons.
Also, even if they are successful, the information will be delayed to reach their hands, which they will not want!

You sound like a pro hacker dude.
Anyway, I am lucky not to see any of my friends contracted this stupid infection yet…
