Shonika, your thoughts about how kid entrepreneurs and young entrepreneurs should look at school as something good is hard to swallow  but I will try. I think that there are still some teachers or lecturers who are not pro-entrepreneurs, they don't like questions or extra work. Perhaps that's just a small portion of them though...

Love Jason! He is a little firecracker isn't he ;-)

About school....while it can't necessarily teach you entrepreneurship....neither can most people outside of the school. Having said that, as a young entrepreneur I beg you to do this- realize that this completely works to your advantage. Everyone and everything around you can be leveraged as a tool to your success, not an obstacle to it.

Your English teacher can assist you with editing proposals.

The graphics teacher can assist with the website.

The art teacher can assist with designing a logo.

And the principal can assist you with getting picked up by a local newspaper. So don't completely discount them. As for parents- ugh! That's another story altogether. But I believe there is hope for them yet :) You really have to empower them and try to share them what you have already done in your entrepreneurial adventures not what you will do. Entrepreneurship is as abstract as it is structured. It is really hard for people to conceptualize. What comes easy for you doesn't always come easy for them. So give it to them in little airplane baby spoonfuls, lol.

I was amazed as well and I wished I was into entrepreneurship when I was 9, or even 3.

Anyway, it is never too late for an entrepreneur to get things going with a good idea. Remember, JUST DO IT! ;)

First of all, I didn't expect Jason to have such a big follower base. Everyone seems to know him.

@ Matt
He is indeed doing well. It's a vibrant and cheerful interview. ;) Would love to do that all over again.

@ Gloson
You can never undermine any ideas that you have nowadays and I think Jason's business proves the point to others. And you know what? You, Gloson, is leading the rest of the "kids" as well. ;)

@ Tom
Schools is not doing enough to help budding entrepreneurs and this is a big issue not just in the US but around the world. They can do well but if the mindset is not there in the school administration, things will just stay put.

Entrepreneurship is not for everyone I guess.

@ Renelda
It is always good to ignore naysayers and be inspired by people who are already in a position that you want to be. People who tell you not to do this and that are often people who fails to achieve such things themselves in the past so why follow their advice, right?

@ Steve
Same here. Although I started out fairly young, I still think that I should have started earlier, maybe 3? Duh...
