PayPerPost

PayPerPost has tried it’s very best to curb spam blogs, writing just for paid posts and they are recently testing out their independent blog evaluation system, Argus. I don’t know how many of you kept blog just to write paid posts for PayPerPost and don’t care about how the quality of the site goes.

I used to, until three days before I wrote this, write paid posts for PayPerPost on my old blogspot domain which is at PR5 (PR4 after the latest Google PR update). Why I stopped? I know not everyone can have the chance to write opportunity posts for PR5 blogs but writing for PayPerPost with a spam blog is just a no-no.

PayPerPost Ban Statement

Moreover, I got a ban in my PayPerPost account which is from an advertiser. It sounds this way, “The traffic for this blog is amazingly low, although it has a PR5”. This does not only kill my chance of getting opportunities for my new Wayne Liew Dot Com but my account’s reputation will be spoiled by that stupid one statement! Although PayPerPost do allow advertisers to give you a positive vote but how many of you got a vote from the advertisers?

This post is to warn all paid posts writers out there. PayPerPost is a popular and highly-rated paid posts platform. Advertisers giving out opportunities there want great results but very often, they pay us low and treated us as people desperate for money. I can tell them, a $5 opportunity is lucky just to appear on a PR5 spam blog.

If they want PR5 and traffic, try asking someone like John Chow to write, it will cost them $400 a post! Anyway, I have planned to stop posting paid posts from PayPerPost on my blogspot blog. Sorry to those who want to pay me $5 and $5 to PayPerPost just to appear on a PR4 blog. Find me at other paid posts network or consider a post at Wayne Liew Dot Com, $50 per post!

PayPerPost is not an abundant marketplace full of opportunities after all, at least for Malaysians, if you have your own domain, I will recommend you to build your site with contents rather than pushing down your domain’s reputation by writing $5 posts. I can set a standard for my biggest blogging income source, why not you?

You can say that I am mad because I am unlucky to get a ban from an advertiser but I don’t think you should lower the name and brand of your site that way. It’s easy to recognize cheap-paying posts in blogs. They are the posts you can see on each and every one of the blogs writing paid posts so people will know about it and guess what people will treat your blog like?

I guarantee you that you won’t see a post with the value of $5 here. Every post of mine is worth more than that. Sounds arrogant? It’s just for the cheap-paying advertisers, not my readers. :-)

Which paid post network are you writing for? Do you go for $5 opportunities or you go the pro-blogger style which people will finds you directly to write a review for them and pay you directly. Share with me your disputes when writing paid posts as well.

You mean the Argus is a trick???! I received an e-mail “The Tack: Argus wants you”, and after that my account was locked. Damn! Send you an e-mail to tell you the story, hehe.

But since I don’t have any page rank yet, I don’t mind writing a few $5 posts a day. Of course, I must also keep in mind that the quality of the organic content of the blog should remain the same or better.

Argus is not a trick, it is PayPerPost own blog evaluation system which collaborates all tahe supposed elements to give your blog a rate, just like LinkWorth if you are using it.

If you can do it, it is of course good. I am very furious when that advertiser gave me that stupid ban.

I do have an account with Linkworth… but I don’t know what to do about it! Just sit and wait for their e-mail?

Well, I am still in at the junction now. I am thinking to 100% focus on my on post and deny any paid post in my blog. But, this is hard. I need to work harder and earn more traffic to attract advertiser to find me directly and advertise on my site.

    Thanks for sharing.

Hey Wayne, A little offtopic, but have you given azoogle ads a shot? I’ve heard that they are pretty good. (I signed up for them and got accepted, they want me to enter some tax form and send it to them to finalise my account). I hardly want to do that(I just gave up making money online), but maybe you want to give them a shot.

They assign someone to you who will call you up and make decisions about what you may want to put on your blog etc. Just a suggestion, since you must be earning peanuts with bidvertiser and adbrite.

I’ll always trying to write good content in my blog. At the same time, I can’t resist if I have an opportunity to earn money as well. However, I won’t write some sponsored post which is not fit with my blog’s nature. For instants, plastic surgery or adult content, haha.

    @ Valen
Submit all your blogs as a blog and as a site. The rest will be just waiting for e-mail. :-)

    @ lukxiufung
If you really want it, anything that you want will come to you. You are on the right path, it’s just that you are unsure and have doubts in you. ;-)

    @ thiamhin
Yes, it’s a matter of principle and quality but we are being bullied by not being given posts with high prices.

    @ jayhan
Thanks for your support. Most people write because they earn the most through paid posts, like me!

    @ Derek
Anything which requires a tax form is not in my reach yet as I am not even 18 and I hope I don’t fall into the clutches of my country’s Inland Revenue Board so early in my life. :-)

I have an account with Azoogle but for some reasons last time, I didn’t proceed with it but it is true that I am earning peanuts through Bidvertiser and Adbrite. :-)

    @ keeyit
Your situation is same as mine. If you want to get high PR, continue to blog and your PR will increase in proportion with the period you blog. By that time, you can earn more. ;-)

    @ Kitkat
I am earning only $3 with Bidvertiser. What do you think?

Writing for PPP is a little restrictive with all their rules and regulations! This is why I don’t like writing for them!

    @ Sean
That is true. Having a principle while writing is important, especially on a domain that you have paid for it. :-)

    @ MonkeyWong
Luckily my blog here is still free from PPP pollution. I pay my hosting with such earnings as well.

You may want to take a look at the form yourself http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8ben.pdf

The reason why I even suggested it is that there will be a person assigned to your account, your ads will not be some random low paying rubbish irrelevant to your blog.

For this time being, you still can write paid post from PPP right? Just one of the advertiser barred you, but the others are fine with your blogspot right?

    @ Derek
    Registration in progress.

    @ Sean
I still can write but I guess I won’t be writing for them any more since I will not the posts seriously. I don’t want to further hurting my account with bans.

    @ yung .
It’s the advertiser who present this shit to me. I am not sure about what am I going to do yet since this blog of mine is still not 90 days old yet.

my wordpress blog which has a PR of 6 was accepted by paperpost weeks ago but until now i didn’t write for them yet. reason to this is that wordpress doesn’t allow sponsored posts anymore.

i dont know if i will be able to write for payperpost (in my other blogs) but if i ever will, i will be careful about what offers to accept. will see to it that the thing I am writing about is connected to my blog and i will see to it that the offered price is worth the work.

thanks for sharing your experience with ppp.

    Thanks for the comment.

If you want to start to write paid posts on a self-hosted domain, you will have to be picky of what you chose to write. If you want to write a tonne of paid posts and make money out of it, you can always start a free Blogger blog and start building the contents so by the end of 90 days, you will be capable of writing PPP posts.
