Fooling Around The Blogosphere Starts Here

I Am Offering Full RSS Feed, REALLY!

October26

I can see my RSS Feed subscriber number is rising steadily and I am thinking of rewarding my RSS Feed subscribers. I have been saying on my sidebar that the feed that I offer will be a full one but apparently, I always uses the “more” tag and my RSS subscribers are forced to visit Wayne Liew Dot Com at the end.

Full RSS Blog Feed

From now on, I will start typing posts that will appear fully on my homepage. The person that really made me look into this is yung . from Silent Whisper 2.0. I made this decision with the following reasons in mind:

Participating Readers
I love you all, really. You guys made me love you all because you somehow created your own discussion here and have been commenting on my articles. I am really touched of this and I guess most of you will know that I always love comments since I offer dofollow links reward.

I will be introducing a new reward for my commentators and this will help at least a bit in promoting your blog if you placed your comments here. Just stay tuned.

No More Page Rank

Lost Interest In Google Page Rank

I don’t mean that Google is going to abolish Page Rank, I am just saying that this site didn’t have any Page Rank yet and I guess another thing I can build up the number is the number of RSS subscribers.

I hope you guys and girls can help me raise my numbers to a level where I can proudly show the numbers. It is near the number now and I guess I will be able to post the RSS chicklet by mid-November 2007.

Benefits For Readers
As I mentioned in my post, “To Burn The Feed Or To Visit” earlier, RSS Feed reading is faster than visiting the blog itself. I do want you all to read what I wrote but in a faster manner. Of course, those who wanted to visit me directly can do so every now and then since you are very welcomed to do this.

How will you prefer to read my blog now? Subscribe to Wayne Liew Dot Com Full RSS Feed or you want to continue visiting my site directly? Last but not least, do you feel that it is better now that I offer my readers a full feed?

Since I am now offering a full feed, I will take some time to actually modify my sidebar to make it longer to be inline with the post column. Expect to see some minor changes on Wayne Liew Dot Com and be sure to comment about it.

I prefer to visit people’s blog rather than subsribing the feed. In fact, I don’t see any different for both of them… :p

I have received a dual readership after your offering a full feed. While I already had RSS feed subscribed to Google Reader, I now have subscribed feed by email so that I can read your posts on outlook even when I am offline.

    @ Sean
If you subscribe to their feed, you get ads-free surfing and you can have all the articles from different blogs just in one portal.

    @ dott-com
I think that is the key as well. Thanks for the support!

    @ Jalaj
Yes! This is what I call a fan (just kidding)! I hope by offering a full feed, I will be attracting more visitors since not everyone have the time to bloghop.

Good one, I prefer reading a blog on a aggregator because it will be easier. 1 click is better many click on a bookmark. =) Thanks for giving us a full RSS feed.

It’s a good move. I don’t really get why people offer partial feeds, maybe they want more adviews, and clicks.

Anyway if your post is good enough you will get people to comment on it, and that way they will visit.

Actually I prefer to visit your blog since I don’t get used of using RSS

    ELLOO!! I am back!! :D

I’m surely happy that you decided to abolish the “more” thing, it makes us readers so convenient. And I still prefer to visit sites, so the rss thing, not impact lah to me. Hehehe

I agree that it seems easier to have the page bookmarked rather than having feed… ee

    @ lukxiufung
I am sure your feed reader response will be better than mine since you offer a full feed. My feed number currently stands at 40, not a big number but I hope can get pass 50 next month though.

    @ Nicholas
I always want to see things from my readers point of view. If you guys like it, I will continue using it. It’s great to see that you guys are still responding even though you can read all of it through the RSS reader now.

    @ Preblogging
I am going to evaluate my contents by doing this.

    @ Edward Khoo
Never mind, I appreciate that as well. When you visit here, your face gets to appear on my MyBlogLog widget which I sometimes will spend my time clicking on it.

    @ yung .
Why you so bad? Wait for me to feature you only you are back…

Never mind of that, I guess this move is a wise move and a brilliant suggestion from you.

    @ Click For Nick
Different people have different preferences. By doing this, I am not harming people visiting directly. Also, this doesn’t take much effort from me.

    @ Mercury
    Thanks for being my subscriber!

How can we check how many people are subsribing feeds? As I know, I have two friends (so shameless to tell in public  ) who told me that they are subsribing my feed…

Hi Wayne, I’m a supporter as well.

But I still like to visit your site to comment. RSS feed reader doesn’t allow me to do that.
