The first month of January had just passed and I am regretful of the whole month for not doing extensively the supposed things listed out below:

  • Not replying to comments promptly
  • Not marketing the blog
  • Not spending much time in producing articles

The above actions, if not done for a continuing basis, will lead to a blog death but I will not let this happen.

Bear with me, I am weighing a few things that had entered my life and I need time to get used with the brand new tempo. A few blockages that I have listed out in my 2008 blogging resolutions are all in their initial stage, which is the stage where to-dos are the most.

Anyway, I would plead all my readers to stay on as I have the following drafts saved in my Windows Live Writer:

In August itself, a couple of posts get some attention in the blogosphere.

On September, signs of Wayne Liew Dot Com becoming a niche blog is becoming more significant.

October is a month to remember for Wayne Liew because it is the month whereby he made the decision to turn Wayne Liew Dot Com into a niche blog on blogging tips and guides. Some of the successful blogging tips posts written in this month include:

November is quite a successful month for Wayne Liew Dot Com with the following popular posts.

However, Wayne Liew Dot Com closes the year with a miserable month because traffic decreases by 50% due to holidays and reduced effort by Wayne Liew himself. However, a few good posts successfully get some attention by readers and RSS Feed subscriber numbers marked the highest increase in this month.

There you go, Year 2007 for Wayne Liew Dot Com. Personally, I think Wayne Liew Dot Com got through Year 2007 with a few highs and lows but turned out to be doing alright.

I am frustrated but at the same time laughed when I received this e-mail from George DK which I guess is one of my readers.

Wayne,

I hope you are not interrupted my this e-mail of mine.

I noticed that you are starting to slow down in terms of posting. I read in one of your articles, Characteristics of a Dying Blog and you said in it that a blog which the blogger is missing in action is a dying one.

I am sure George will not be expecting this post. My alternate day posting and my lagging behind in comment marketing is due to the following reasons and I don’t think I will give up this blog just yet!

What is holding me back?

Since my holiday in June 2007, I hardly get a long holiday until for these few weeks after my college examination. This sudden opportunity of ample free time has made me slowed down in life.

The things that I get caught up with which had give me this hiccup in Wayne Liew Dot Com Blogging Tips Blog are as follows:

  • Launch of an affiliate marketing site
  • Writing projects
  • Offline marketing and self-improvement books to read
  • Taking a break
  • Online game

This holiday season supposedly is to let me catch up on everything I do but instead, I have been going too far in putting things into my task list. I will kick  away online gaming next week and you should see this blogging tips and guides blog running at full capacity.

Readers Response Please

First of all, thanks for all my readers who keep returning to check out whether there are any new post and also to my subscribers who gave me a chance by not unsubscribing from my feeds. Also thanks to George for notifying me about the seriousness of my absence.

Have you ever been complacent about your blog achievement? I have been swayed away by other activities and from next week, hopefully, Wayne Liew Dot Com will be back to normal. What do you have to say about this?

I am so enthusiastic about blogging and I don’t know what my academics are for! I got sarcastic comments from my lecturers because I have a blogging tips blog which has nothing to do with my academics and I am always online!

AT LAST! My examination ended just now and I am so happy to announce this! Yes, I didn’t post anything yesterday. Nothing has been wrong with Wayne Liew Dot Com.

I need to prove to "some people" that Bloggers Can Have Good Grades as well. When you are reading this, my examination is finally over and I hope you guys and girls out there reading this blog won’t blame me because I broke my blogging frequency.

I won’t be posting any other post other than this today but I will have some juicy and RED HOT articles to guide you for better blogging in Year 2008 coming up. Why I am able to do this? Well, I will be on holiday until next year!

Before you start reading this post, I would like to apologize to everyone that came forward with your precious comments in my post, Whacked for Paid Post Spamming, especially Josh Lim, the founder of Advertlets. I have been taught a lesson the hard way! I gave in to stupid thoughts and naive thinking!

Last night, when I was preparing another article for Wayne Liew Dot Com, I received an text message from the real Josh Lim:

Text Message

Wayne Liew Yee Piao… This is the real Josh Lim from Advertlets here. Someone has been leaving comments pretending to be me. Please check, I left a new comment on your blog.

I thought Josh was trying to fool around here but I don’t think other than the real Josh and those who are my Facebook friends will know my mobile phone number. I replied and made things clear with him.

The person who previously voiced his “disappointment” of me writing paid posts on my blogspot blog is not Josh Lim as the real Josh Lim immediately left a comment after knowing about it through my post. Also, I do have a few people e-mailing me or commenting on that issue saying that Josh will not be doing that supported by various reasons.

Did I looked stupid? I should say yes. Wait a minute, should I thank this impostor? I know he/she (mostly he, probably a Malaysian) might be laughing when he was reading this. Don’t choke dude, I am thanking you.

Here is my usual style of writing a post again! 5 Reasons I Should Thank Grave-Digging Impostor!

    Investigate before concluding
I have learnt my lesson. If I would have take my time to ask Josh about the whole thing, I wouldn’t had come out with such a stupid blunder. I have made a conclusion that made myself looked like a dumb. To all my readers, even if you come across something that might be a great content to be posted, please do the topic a thorough research before blogging about it.

    People are envious of me
Thanks to the impostor for telling me that I am worth to be played a prank alongside Josh Lim. I am proud of myself and one question to the impostor, “Are you envious of me?” You just helped me out of your envy. Thank you very much.

I got a post to write
Dear impostor, I am very grateful that you brought up an issue for me to blog about since I actually came across a blogger’s block yesterday. My draft posts are all not ready to be posted and you have done me a favor in helping me to keep me to my posting frequency.

I got advice on paid post writing
I got a long lecture from goldfries which I will look deeper in it. Paid post has always been my main income source until the last month. Most probably I will be writing lesser since cloned humans don’t like it. The best I guess to cut off my spamming history will be deleting my blogspot blog (after I have been paid with all the holding funds).

    Big Fish After Small Fish

    I know more about human
I am just to naive about people’s attitude. I do come across great and nice people over the blogosphere but this experience raised my awareness about people’s attitude, especially we are all behind our monitors. I guess the Internet is just as same as the society. I shall be careful of people around me as well.

The above is the all that I have to thank the great impostor. Minor damages have been done but they will just bring me worthless lessons. I have learned one more thing on my journey to be a 18 years old teenager.

What’s your opinion?
What do you think about people imposting to be others? I thought of using a cursing post against that guy but what do you think about my post above? Do you think that it looks more professional? Have you came across such people who impersonate others? Tell me your experience about it.

I am sorry
To Josh, I hope you would forgive me for my clumsiness in handling things. I got my lesson. I also hoped that one day, you will have no more such things happening, on both MyBlogLog and anywhere else on the Internet.

It’s not from Google concerning my Google Page Rank and neither it is from PeePeePee.

Updates: The comment on my blogspot blog appears to be a prankster job. Read more about it at Hails Josh Lim Clone for Giving Me Lessons.

I received an e-mail notification today which I don’t normally receive but it was from someone great in Malaysia’s blogosphere. Josh Lim, the founder of local advertising platform, Advertlets has posted a comment on my old blogspot blog which are as stated below:

Josh Lim Comment On My Spam Blog

Damn sad that blogs like yours exist.

Poluting the blogosphere with spam.

Also damn sad to see how you practive being nice nice on WayneLiew.com but spam the internet with blogs like these.

I have to admit that I am still writing paid posts as I have admitted with Paid Posts - My Main Income Source. I continue to write it on my already Google Page Rank-zerofied blogspot blog since I am still getting opportunities but certainly not from PeePeePee.

The reason I am writing this post is to ask opinions about the statement by Josh above. I know spam blogs will always invite hatred and anger from bloggers and Internet users. Anyway, I am not as great as some of those people out there who steal contents of others to make money from Google Adsense.

I am always on the middle line when I write paid posts with that blogspot blog. I knew one day this will be brought up as an issue, by me myself or by someone like Josh here.

My blog has been featured on Zerofied Google PR! during the Page Rank demotion where my blogspot PR dropped from a 5 to 4 then now, 0. I see paid post writing as another way to earn side income and I always write it when I am free.

Also, I have made an announcement at my old blog before that I will be focusing my writings on Wayne Liew Dot Com since this site is launched. The paid-to-blog platform that I used for that blogspot blog are not platforms like PeePeePee or Sponsored Reviews that have terms stating that a blog should not contain just paid posts.

I am sure that most of you saw all kinds of spam blogs (splogs) before using Blogger as a platform. Before the penalization of paid post blogs by Google, there were even more! Now, you can see tonnes of blogspot blogs writing just for the sake of getting traffic which will convert into money for them.

I am not cheating by saying a site is great or a product is great. I am just adding links to some random posts which I wrote. Can I say that it is just a personal blog for me to crap and nothing is contributing there?

I can stop paid post writing on the blog any time from now if majority of you demand me to do so. My readers win my decision. Vote to help me make my decision on extreme paid post writing on that blogspot blog.

Money is the Root of Evil

Will you agree that I am innocent making money by “spamming” a blogspot blog that way?

Wayne Liew is focusing on this site that you are reading now. The blogspot blog is not something that deserves your attention. I removed Advertlets ad panel from that blogspot blog as well since Josh doesn’t like such blogs.

If anyone of you who are reading this and felt that I have did something wrong here, give me a lecture here since you might be right.

Google Page Rank

Sean from Life Long Sharing tipped me two days back that Google Page Rank for sites has been on a free fall and Andrew Ooi with his post, Zerofied Google PR sent waves of disappointment towards Google.

I always say that I don’t care about Google Page Rank and I don’t write paid posts frequently on Wayne Liew Dot Com but after reading and getting these news, I began to wonder what will be the results if I check my Page Rank with some of the tools out there to see what my real rank is.

I will be testing with two sites which is mine and Problogger.net since Darren didn’t write paid posts in his blog as well. I will be using some of the most used tools available on the Internet to show the validity of my Google Page Rank.

Claimed by blogger:
Problogger: PR6
Wayne Liew: PR4

Live PR:
Problogger: PR6
Wayne Liew: PR4

iWebTools
Problogger: PR6
Wayne Liew: PR4

Smart PageRank
Problogger: PR0
Wayne Liew: PR0

Dig PageRank:
Problogger: PR6
Wayne Liew: PR4

I guess the number of tests is enough. I don’t think I am penalized for anything and sometimes it is just the tools that we use to test our PageRank fails. Test it out on the sites which I have got my PR4 shown. They might be accurate but the glitch that happens sometimes will make you pull your hair because of the PR N/A shown.

I have to conclude that it is the paid posts issue that Google is targeting now. My old blogspot blog which is a den for paid posts is now at PR EGG. No paid posts for me to train my writing style and typing speed any more! Paid posts will no longer be my main online income source and I will start another venture on my money making journey.

For those who are demoted, don’t feel down about it. It is just a rating. Do you feel down when your Alexa ranking is more than 100,000? Do you feel down when your Technorati rankings is not in the Top 100? Come on, traffic matters most and with SocialSpark on the way, I am sure you will want to get more traffic by January next year so that you can start writing paid posts freely again!

P/S: I don’t write paid posts here on Wayne Liew Dot Com but I do include it in all the paid posts platforms that I used for my blogspot blog. Guess what I’ve found out in my “Task Management” section of Blogsvertise yesterday?

Blogsvertise Task Management

I have declined some of it and I didn’t know that Blogsvertise will have that much tasks for me before. The money is there for me to grab. Do you think I should take and munch it?

PayPerPost

PayPerPost has tried it’s very best to curb spam blogs, writing just for paid posts and they are recently testing out their independent blog evaluation system, Argus. I don’t know how many of you kept blog just to write paid posts for PayPerPost and don’t care about how the quality of the site goes.

I used to, until three days before I wrote this, write paid posts for PayPerPost on my old blogspot domain which is at PR5 (PR4 after the latest Google PR update). Why I stopped? I know not everyone can have the chance to write opportunity posts for PR5 blogs but writing for PayPerPost with a spam blog is just a no-no.

PayPerPost Ban Statement

Moreover, I got a ban in my PayPerPost account which is from an advertiser. It sounds this way, “The traffic for this blog is amazingly low, although it has a PR5”. This does not only kill my chance of getting opportunities for my new Wayne Liew Dot Com but my account’s reputation will be spoiled by that stupid one statement! Although PayPerPost do allow advertisers to give you a positive vote but how many of you got a vote from the advertisers?

This post is to warn all paid posts writers out there. PayPerPost is a popular and highly-rated paid posts platform. Advertisers giving out opportunities there want great results but very often, they pay us low and treated us as people desperate for money. I can tell them, a $5 opportunity is lucky just to appear on a PR5 spam blog.

The first Google Page Rank for Wayne Liew Dot Com update has come. Did it catch you unexpected? If you still don’t know about this news, check it out now with Google Page Rank checker.

Are you prepared? Most of us are eager for this but when it finally comes, we are all scrambled and panicked! Most of the blogs out there are being penalized and most of the deductions of PR are done to blogs with PR4 and 5, some 6 but Sabahan pointed out in his post, “Latest Google PageRank Update - How Are You Doing?”, PR7 blogs are always above the Google strike on blogs.

The update this time has totally made those prediction tools out there worthless. I guess Google is no longer using backlinks and the value of sites that are pointing to your blog or maybe they have raise the standards for some rank of PR. I am still finding out what can we do to help raising our PR but there were rumours out there stating that Google is penalizing those blogs who sell links and write paid posts.
