Be well prepared as this might seem to be the end of your week but I will give you a whole lot more work to do for your blog and your blogging life as the blogosphere has never been quiet.

This week, I will be bringing you blogging tips on blog themes modification, social media, blogging networking and Entrecard woes. Also, I will be showing two grand contests with great (I mean really great) prizes launched and coming up respectively! Read on to find out more on what I have to offer on this week’s blogosphere summary.

Wrong Perception on Social Media

Steven wrote a nice article over at 10 Myths of Social Media Marketing which listed out all the false thoughts and impressions that you might have on social media sites and usage.

Web 2.0 Directory

Social media is not all about getting traffic for yourself. Helping others and networking are just as important. Without being an active user you can’t accomplish these things.

The above will be an excerpt of one of the myths listed. For all my readers who are trying to make use of social media sites like Sphinn and StumbleUpon, try building a social media power user profile by submitting good contents (not just yours) to acquire support and respect from other social media users.

Entrecard - The Stats Crusher?

Bad Entrecard

Entrecard Traffic - Disliked By Advertisers was being put forward by Rocky to describe his experience of losing a potential advertiser just because he is using Entrecard, which might be the troublemaker for his blog’s low bounce rate. Any Entrecard users here? What opinions do you have on this?

A few weeks back, I started to use Entrecard on Wayne Liew Dot Com but was just collecting Entrecard credits by dropping cards and approving those who wanted to advertise on this blogging guides blog.

Entrecard brought in a small portion of traffic for me but not much. To be honest, I use Entrecard more as a platform for me to discover content-rich blogs and blogs from other niches that deserved a subscription.

The False Side of Blogging Networking

Chris sees the false side of Internet networking becoming more and more prominent and had provided some tips for your Internet networking needs at The Joys and Woes of Networking.

There are many people who only think about what they can gain from networking and so go out and “collect useful people”.

This is one of my networking mistake in the past and I have outlined it in 10 Things to Avoid in Blogging Pals Interaction that being true during blogging peers interaction is the safe way of maintaining an online peer relationship.

Carl’s $8907.83 Prizes and Jim’s $500 Cash Giveaway

Carl, the famous kid blogger will be celebrating his blog’s first anniversary this week and as always for a big blog anniversary, you can expect tonnes of prizes to be given away!

He lined up a total of 179 prizes worth $8907.83 for his contest and the good thing is that I am part of this event as well. Ad spots for the promotion of your blog, guides and audios on how you can blog better and make more money from the Internet, physical prizes and even cold hard cash are up for grabs!

Jim, the blogger of Jim Karter, on the other hand, launched a small contest to celebrate his luck on the blogosphere but the prize - a whopping $500 is up for grabs. All you need to do is to subscribe to Jim’s RSS feed via e-mail or write a blog entry about his blog with a link to it.

Amazing isn’t it? Two blog contests up for the coming week and they’ll be giving away prizes just like Santa Claus! Stay tune to both of their blogs and be sure to tell me if you win anything from either of these two contests.
