I haven’t use any redirect plugin to my newly transfered blog. All the links are working fine, I decided to used blogger permalink. My problem now is how to redirect blogger archives. Does this plugin resolves my current problem?

Colleen, You will not lose your old post if you transfer your files. Redirect is the solution to that.

I have a question about this. If I do indeed decide to transfer my account, I am going to lose the posts I have made within the last 4 years?

I wrote up a guide that takes into account forwarding the individual posts from your blogger account and everything you need to do to make that happen. It also in general just gets users from your old site to your new one in a happy way. For all you lost users that were like me just a few days ago, I highly recommend you take a look.

Yes. Some feel the pain of losing all the link juice but with this, they will transfer happily.

Thanks for pointing out this most useful plugin mate. It could really help those bloggers who have been blogging on blogger and are wanting to move to their own domain. This will surely make their transfer less painful.

I wish I could somehow consolidate Sciencebase’s pagerank (couple of years ago it was a PR8, now it’s a PR7 homepage.

That is an amazing result. I should have consolidated my Page Rank with my once PR5 blog. However, it is back to PR0 for that blog now so nothing can be scrapped…

You should be able to start the permalinks of all your post with the new domain with Blogger. However, if you are thinking of hosting your blog independently (leave Blogger), you should purchase a host and a domain name, not a domain name alone.

If you are finding difficulty in adding your bought domain into Blogger, you can always read Blogger Custom Domain Help for guidance as I think I will not be writing a guide on that in these few days.

yes i knew bout that, and bought a domain at godaddy. but then realised I can’t transfer all old post to the new domain (or can i?) - really wish there’s a tutorial on how to do so for fresh people from blogger.
