It is Sunday in Malaysia and it is a day for all of us to slow down a bit. I know it is time consuming and energy consuming if I ask you to write a quality article daily. How did I manage to survive for so long since I am posting daily basis right from day one? Sometimes there are simple things to build up a post other than thinking hard of what to write. Let us see what I have prepared for you to post today.
Video Commentary
You have sites like Youtube, Metacafe and Google Video. Spend some of your time surfing the sites, dig out a video or two which is related to your niche and share it with your readers. If you want to make things a little hard for you, you can write out the synopsis of the video such as the agenda of an interview.
Link Attacks
I have seen many bloggers doing this but they just post mere links in the post. I think going an extra mile by writing out thoughts (just one line or two) about the recommended articles will make the post more attracting for readers to click it. Review a Blog
Are you asking me to review something which I will not be paid? Well, I don’t think you will not get anything in return. When you dedicate a post for a blog, you will definitely get the attention of the blogger (at least I will, review me!). Also, by reviewing the blog, you can add another review under your portfolio of Reviews to show off your reviewing skills if you are doing direct sales of ad review so even though it is free, do it wholeheartedly.
Event Photos
People don’t want to sit in front of the computer during weekends because they are lazy and it is during weekends that you will have different types of events going on in your community. Check your daily newspapers and mark on your calendar where you will be going if you feel tired or lazy. If it is something related to your blog, just post up a series of photos like the BlogWorld and New Media Expo held in Las Vegas.
Anticipation Post
Post up a simple list to tell your visitors of what to expect in the coming days. Remind them to subscribe to your RSS Feed so that they will not miss out anything. You are not bounded to post exactly the same what you have promised so make your promise as attractive as possible. The limit is don’t bluff with something lame like “I will be giving away $2500!” because no one will believe it, especially after the Ashwin Khanna case.
Weekly Roundup
Check your stats, post the numbers and compare it with the previous periods and what you have been expecting. This is quite normal in the blogosphere but I don’t recommended small bloggers to do this, it will make your blog looks bad. Small bloggers can try posting up the best articles that they have written for the week to ‘stickify’ your blog.
Questions or Polls
Start a question or poll on weekends for one week. Announce it with a post and your job for the day is done. People will be voting or answering. Then, on the next weekend you will be posting about the results that have been compiled and some brief analysis. No heavy thinking!
Plugin or Widget Recommendation
There’s so much plugin in Wordpress plugin database and even you have managed to finish reviewing all of them, you still have thousands of widgets out there craving for your attention. Reviewing and recommending these little things to your readers will still add value to your contents so no worries!
Dugg News
Digg is a place where I always find funny and great news. Blog about them and gives your visitors a laugh. It is simple to write about this news and at the same time, you are lifting the pressure off your visitors after so many niche articles.
Sponsored Posts
Do I need to elaborate more? You will only need 150 words to make $6. Go and make our bucks! Write sponsored posts during weekends since it won’t affect your blog performance too much. Traffic will normally drops during weekends so post them during weekends and make money!
I don’t understand why I still need to finish a marathon of 10 items even on a Sunday. 
Anyway, tell me what you will post when you are lazy. Share with me as well what is the effect that it has caused on your traffic. I do come across bloggers that are willing to take the risk of posting one sentence post like “I WILL BE BACK!”
