Some points are quite true, be a blogger has to be honest and positive, and trying to not going too emotional and bias. About the “I got this from wayneliew.com!”, I think it should not be this way. Perhaps, the more appropiate way is “According to xxx”, or “my points was supported by xxx”. I’m extremely hate copycat thou.

I always tell my readers I am going home if I do. I am thinking like it is a topic too since it just a personal blog.
Perhaps my readers might expect some stories during my journey, right?

You should post it but at the same time pre-write some posts and ask your readers to expect for it. If it is a personal ramblings blog, you can pre-write some thoughts which will make your readers think so that they will add some comment in the posts.

Thanks. There are always more of such messages but these are a few that I think will drive me away. As always, different people will have different preferences.

This is why I include a point which is to pre-write all the posts. Cheating will send your readers away as well.

I got this from a designer but the site if this designer seems to be down now because of a database lost so maybe you could use Google or something to find a theme alike…

yes that would surely send away your readers for quite sometime and so many don’t post such messages when they leave and result…

readers quite often return to see if he is back or not… so that’s good! but bad thing is if he returns thrice to find you away he would swear not to come back again…

Yes – several times before I’ve admitted when I haven’t been able to access the computer or had writer’s block. If I have an unexpected problem come up and can’t get on for a few days, I don’t usually come back as if nothing happened because obviously something did.

But I do agree with you – we should all focus on our content and avoid using all the messages you mentioned above (and yes, probably plenty more, but I can’t think of any to contribute off the top of my head).
