I still happy with my Web hosting. But before taken any webhosting, please asking a friend or find some suggestion for you r friend who has involved with Web Hosting. Asking them the support, service, offer and also the guarantee to you if subscribe with them . All these is very important before you build up your own website.

Yes, you can always host your site with your cousin's server but you need to know what others sites are being hosted on his servers as well because you don't want your site to crash due to other activities that happen on other sites hosted on the same server. The cost of transferring will most probably the short down time that occurs due to DNS propagation and the risk of losing your data (remember to back up all your files and database prior to the transfer).

Just let me know if you have any more questions. I'll try my best to answer. ;)

Within our industry, we have a relatively unique site. It (the site) has a forum(soon to launch), slide shows, and eventualy a ton of down-loadable data. It has become very expensive to add data. I have a relative that has a dedicated server. He has offered to host my site and no cost.
1. - Should I expect a cost to take my site to my cousin's?
2. - Am I not thinking this move through?
I would appreciate any advice.

Not to mention that they offer live chat support 24/7 and have a presence on Twitter. I think this is the feature that made me switch from my previous host to them. Keep it up Hostgator! ;)

Yea I use hostgator as well! I was going to say the dashboard in that photo looked familiar until i read the little editor's note. Hostgator is pretty good for wordpress blogs especially. Most plugins run fine on it.

I don’t think they offer dedicated servers but a shared hosting package is actually more than sufficient for most small business websites.
